Biography

Kathleen Bishop received an MFA in Photography from The National University of Ireland, Galway in 2007, and spent the following year as an artist in residence at the Centre Culturel Irlandais in Paris. She studied at San Francisco Art Institute, Center for Creative Studies, and Maryland Institute College of Art, where she received a BFA in Photography in 1999. Kat lives in New Mexico, where she teaches photography at Santa Fe Community College. She has taught at UNM, spoken on her work with anthotypes at the 2017 APIS conference, and presented her work with Caffenol at SPE’s 2018 southwest chapter conference. She practices digital, analog and alternative processes of photography, exhibiting internationally in solo and group exhibitions.
